Jacob’s Ladder

“The only thing that burns in hell is the part of you that won’t let go of your life: your memories, your attachments. They burn them all away, but they’re not punishing you, they’re freeing your soul. If you’re frightened of dying and you’re holding on, you’ll see devils tearing your life away. If you’ve made your peace, then the devils are really angels freeing you from the earth.”

Saturn and Venus

I’ve been thinking about Saturn and Venus in an astrotheological context, and considering the archetypes present in culture.

In the Avengers movies, Thanos is Saturn. His character originates from Titan, a moon of Saturn. He wants to bring order and balance to the universe, like Saturn, and he will kill his children to do so.

Gamora is Venus, green like new life, alluring and deadly like nature. Saturn must kill life to create order. When his task is finished, he is killed by Thor, the Sun god. Of note, Thor has lost his eye, like his father Odin did for wisdom, and also like Horus.

Here is the Thoth Tarot card of the Universe, followed by stills from Avengers: Infinity War. The imagery of the woman contending with Saturn, crushing the head of the snake, foreshadows the use of time travel to defeat Thanos. Gamora is resurrected by time travel, at the cost of her love for Quill and redemptive arc. Without graves, there would be no resurrection, to quote Nietzsche.

Death is the secret of life. These are ideas I’ve been playing with lately, like in this poem, “Die Daily.” I learned on Monday that I failed my board exam, and that my months of effort had been fruitless, while everyone else in my class passed. I’m going through the grief process, and reconciling myself to retaking it in June, after some intense, transformative study.

I decided to get an apartment near my work, and live apart from my wife and three children for the next three months while I study. It will save me a ninety minute commute daily, and allow me to do what I need to. I can’t help but feel like I’ve let them down. It’s wrenching to think about my kids without me.

But the core of Saturn, Death and order, is diamond. The rain on Saturn is diamonds. Link to article. Extreme pressure turns our dirt into beauty.

Further thought on Saturn and Venus; this passage makes me think that Jesus was Venus to the apostles, and his father was Saturn:

John 15 “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. 2 He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes[a] so that it will be even more fruitful. 3 You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you.4 Remain in me, as I also remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me.”

Lust

The principal deities connected with this card are those who, by tradition, are associated with the power of the female to arouse, harness, and direct the animal nature: Demeter and Astarte borne by lions; Venus repressing the Volcanic fire; Babylon the Great and the Beast of The Book of the Revelation. Rev 17, Aramaic in Plain English:

1And one of the seven Angels who had with them the seven vessels, came and spoke with me saying, “Follow me; I shall show you the judgment of The Harlot who sits on many waters,” 2“For the Kings of The Earth committed fornication with her and all Earth dwellers are drunk with the wine of her fornication.” 3And he brought me to the wilderness in The Spirit, and I saw a woman who sat on a blood-red beast full of blasphemous names, which had seven heads and ten horns. 4And the woman was wearing purple and scarlet gilt with gold and precious stones and pearls and had a cup of gold in her hand, and it was full of abominations and the filth of her fornication. 5And upon her forehead was written: “Mystery Babylon The Great, The Mother of Harlots and of the Filth of The Earth.” 6And I saw the woman who was drunk with the blood of The Holy Ones and with the blood of the witnesses of Yeshua, and I was stunned with a great astonishment when I saw her.

7And the Angel said to me, “Why are you stunned? I shall tell you the mystery of The Woman and of The Beast that bears her, which has seven heads and ten horns.”

8“The Beast which you saw, existed and is not, and is about to come up from the Sea, and is going to destruction. And the inhabitants on Earth will marvel, whose names are not written in The Book of Life from the foundation of the world, when they see The Beast which was, and is not, and is approaching.” 9“Here is the meaning for one having wisdom: the seven heads are seven mountains, upon which The Woman sits.” 10“And there are seven Kings; five have fallen and one is*, and there is another not yet come, and when he comes, a little remaining time is given to him.” 11“And The Dragon*, and The Beast which it brought* and is not, also is the eighth, and is of the seven, and is going to destruction.” 12“And the ten horns of The Beast are ten Kings, whose Kingdoms they have not yet received, but take authority as Kings for one hour with The Beast.” 13“These have one will, and their power and authority they give to The Beast.”

14“These will make war with The Lamb and The Lamb will conquer them, because he is The Lord of Power and The King of Kings, and because his people are called, chosen and faithful.”

15And he said to me, “The waters that you saw, upon which The Harlot sat, are the nations, multitudes, peoples and languages.” 16“And the ten horns that you saw on The Beast will hate The Harlot and will make her desolate and naked and will devour her flesh and will burn her in fire.” 17“For God gave into their hearts to perform his pleasure and to do their one purpose and will give their Kingdom to that Beast until the words of God are fulfilled.” 18“And The Woman which you saw is that Great City, which has rule over the Kings of The Earth.”

John 19:

1Then Pilate scourged Yeshua. 2And the soldiers wound a crown from thorns and they placed it on his head and clothed him with a purple robe. 3And they were saying, “Hail to you, King of the Judeans”, and they were hitting him on his cheeks.4And Pilate went outside again and he said to them, “Behold, I bring him forth to you outside that you may know that I find no occasion for complaint in him, not even one cause.” 5And Yeshua went forth outside with the crown of thorns upon him and the purple robe, and Pilate said to them, “Behold, here is the man.” 6But when the Chief Priests and the guards saw him, they cried out and they were saying, “Crucify him! Crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Take him and crucify him, for I do not find any fault in him.” 7The Judeans were saying to him, “We have a law and according to that in our Written Law he is condemned to death because he made himself the Son of God.”

8But when Pilate heard this statement he was even more afraid. 9And he entered the Praetorium again and he said to Yeshua, “Where are you from?” But Yeshua gave him no answer. 10Pilate said to him, “Are you not speaking with me? Do you not know that I have power to release you and I have power to crucify you?” 11Yeshua said to him, “You have no power at all over me unless it has been given to you from above; therefore, whoever has delivered me to you has greater sin than yours.” 12Because of this Pilate wanted to release him, but the Judeans were crying out, “If you release this man, you are not Caesar’s friend, for everyone who makes himself King is an adversary of Caesar.”

13But when Pilate heard this statement he brought Yeshua outside and sat down on the judgment seat and the place that was called R’tsiftha d’Kaypha, but in Hebrew* it is called Gpiptha. 14And it was the eve of the Passover, and it was about the sixth hour, and he said to the Judeans, “Behold, here is your King!” 15But they were crying out, “Take him away! Take him away! Crucify him! Crucify him!” Pilate said to them, “Shall I crucify your King?” The Chief Priests were saying, “We have no King but Caesar!”

16Then he delivered him to them that they would crucify him, and they led Yeshua and brought him out.

17Then he took up his cross to the place called Qaraqpatha, but in Hebrew * it is called Gagultha, 18Where they crucified him and two others with him, one on one side and one on the other side, and Yeshua in the center. 19And Pilate wrote a title and placed it on his cross, but it was written thus: “This is Yeshua the Nazarene, The King of the Judeans.20And many of the Judeans read this tablet, because the place in which Yeshua was crucified was near the city, and it was written in Aramaic and in Greek and in Latin. 21And the Chief Priests said to Pilate, “Do not write, ‘He is The King of the Judeans’, but, “He said, ‘I am The King of the Judeans.'” 22Pilate said, “What I have written, I have written.”

23But the soldiers, when they had crucified Yeshua, took his garments, and they made four parts, a part to each of the soldiers; but his tunic was without a seam: it was woven entirely from the top.24And they said to one another, “Let us not tear it, but let us cast lots for it, who will be allowed to have it.” And the scripture was fulfilled that says, “They divided my garment among them and for my clothing they cast lots.” The soldiers therefore did these things. 25But his mother and the sister of his mother, and Mary, who was of Cleopa, and Maryam Magdalitha, were standing at the cross of Yeshua. 26But Yeshua saw his mother and the disciple whom he loved standing and he said to his mother, “Woman, behold, your son.” 27He said to that disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour that disciple received her to himself.

28After these things Yeshua knew that everything had been finished, and that the scripture may be fulfilled, he said, “I thirst.” 29And a vessel had been set full of vinegar, but they filled a sponge from the vinegar and placed it on hyssop and they put it near to his mouth. 30When he took the vinegar, Yeshua said, “Behold, it is finished.” And he bowed his head and gave up his Spirit.

31But the Judeans, because it was evening, they were saying, “These bodies will not pass the night on their crosses, because the Sabbath day is approaching”, for it was a great Sabbath day. And they sought from Pilate to break the legs of those who had been crucified, and they would be taken away. 32And the soldiers came and they broke the legs of the first and of the other who was crucified with him. 33When they came to Yeshua, they saw that he had died already and they did not break his legs.34But one of the soldiers struck him on his side with his spear, and at once blood and water issued forth. 35And he who saw testified and his testimony is true and he knows that he spoke the truth so that you also may believe. 36For these things happened that the scripture should be fulfilled that says, “Not a bone of him will be broken”, 37And another scripture again, that says, “They shall gaze at him whom they pierced through.”

38After these things, Yoseph, who was from Ramtha, sought from Pilate because he was a disciple of Yeshua, (and it was secretly from fear of the Judeans), that he might take the body of Yeshua; and Pilate gave him permission and he came and took away the body of Yeshua. 39And Nicodemus also came, who had come before to Yeshua by night, and he brought with him spices of myrrh and of aloes about one hundred pounds. 40And they took away the body of Yeshua and wrapped it in linen and in sweet spices, just as the custom of the Judeans is for burying. 41And there was in that place where Yeshua had been crucified a garden, and in the garden a new tomb in which a man had not yet been laid. 42And they laid Yeshua there because the Sabbath was approaching and because the tomb was nearby.

Rev 8: Aramaic in Plain English

1And when he opened the seventh seal, there was stillness in Heaven for about half an hour. 2I saw seven Angels who were standing before God, to whom were given seven trumpets.

K3And another Angel came and stood over the altar and had a golden censer, and much incense was given to him to offer with the prayers of all The Holy on the altar which was before the throne. 4And the smoke of the incense went up with the prayers of The Holy Ones from the hand of the Angel before God. 5And the Angel took the censor and filled it with fire which was upon the altar and cast it over The Earth. And there were thunders and voices and lightnings and earthquakes.

6And the seven Angels, who had the seven trumpets, prepared themselves to sound.

7And the first sounded, and there was hail and fire mixed with water*, and they were cast upon The Earth, and the third of The Earth was burned, and a third of the trees burned, and all the grass of The Earth burned.

8And the second* sounded, and there was as a great burning mountain falling into the sea and a third of The Sea became blood. 9And a third of all creatures that were in the Sea that had breath, died, and a third of ships was destroyed.

10And the third* sounded, and a great burning star fell from the sky like a blaze and it fell on a third of the rivers and upon the springs of water, 11And the name of the star is called Absinthian* and a third of the water became like Absinthe and a multitude of people died because the waters were made toxic.

12And the fourth* sounded and a third of the Sun was devoured and a third of the moon and a third of the stars, and a third of them became dark, and a third of the day did not appear, and the night likewise.

13And I heard an eagle flying in the sky, which said, “Woe, woe, woe, to the inhabitants of The Earth from the sound of the trumpets of the three Angels who are going to sound!”

John 8:

1But Yeshua went to Tura d’Zaytay, 2And in the morning he came again to The Temple. And all the people came to him, and when he sat, he taught them. 3But the Scribes and the Pharisees brought a woman who had been seized in adultery, and when they stood her in the midst,4They were saying to him, “Teacher, this woman was taken openly in the act of adultery.” 5“But in The Written Law of Moses, he commanded that we shall stone* such as these. What therefore do you say?” 6This they said*, as they were tempting him, so that they might have something for which to accuse him. But Yeshua was stooping, writing on the ground. 7But as they persisted asking him, he stood up and he said to them, “He among you who is without sin, let him first cast a stone upon her.” 8And stooping down again, he wrote on the ground. 9But when these heard, they were exiting, one by one, beginning from the Elders, and the woman who had been in the midst was left alone. 10But when he stood up, Yeshua said to the woman, “Where are they? Has no man condemned you?” 11But she said, “Not even one, LORD GOD”*; and Yeshua said, “Neither do I condemn you. Go, and from now on, sin no more.”

12And Yeshua spoke again with them and he said: “I AM THE LIVING GOD, The Light of the world. Whoever follows me shall not walk in darkness but shall find* the light of life.” 13The Pharisees were saying to him: “You are testifying about yourself; your testimony is not true.”14Yeshua answered and said to them, “Even if I testify about myself, my testimony is true, because I know from where I have come and where I am going, but you do not know from where I have come and where I am going.” 15“You are judging carnally; I am judging no one.” 16“But even if I do judge, my judgment is true, because I am not alone, but I and my Father who has sent Me.”17“And in your Written Law it is written: ‘The testimony of two men is true.’ ” 18“I AM THE LIVING GOD, I who testify about myself, and my Father who has sent me has testified about Me.” 19They were saying to him, “Where is your Father?” Yeshua answered and said to them, “You know neither me nor my Father. If you had known me, you would have known my Father also.” 20He spoke these words in the treasury as he taught in The Temple, and no man seized him, for his hour had not yet come.

21Yeshua spoke again to them: “I am moving on and you will seek me and you will die in your sins, and where I am going, you cannot come.” 22The Judeans were saying, “Will he now kill himself?”, because he had said, “Where I am going, you cannot come.” 23And he said to them, “You are from below and I am from above. You are from this world; I am not from this world.” 24“I said to you that you shall die in your sins, for unless you shall believe that I AM THE LIVING GOD, you shall die in your sins.” 25The Judeans were saying, “Who are you?” Yeshua said to them, “Even though I have begun to talk with you, 26There are many things for me to say and judge concerning you, but he who has sent me is true, and those things that I have heard from him, these things I am speaking in the world.” 27And they did not know that he spoke to them about The Father. 28Yeshua spoke again to them : “When you have lifted up The Son of Man, then you shall know that I AM THE LIVING GOD, and I do nothing for my own pleasure, but just as my Father has taught me, so I am speaking.29And he who has sent me is with me, and my Father has not left me alone, because I am doing always what is beautiful to him.” 30When he was speaking these things, many trusted in him.

31And Yeshua said to those Judeans who trusted in him, “If you will continue in my word, you are truly my disciples.” 32“And you will know the truth, and that truth will set you free.” 33And they were saying to him, “We are the seed of Abraham, and never have we served in bondage to a man; how do you say, “You shall be children of liberty”?

34Yeshua said to them: “Timeless truth I speak to you: Whoever commits sin is a servant of sin.” 35“And a servant does not always remain in the house, but a son always remains.” 36“If The Son therefore will set you free, you will truly be the children of liberty.” 37“I know you are the seed of Abraham, but you seek to kill me because you cannot comprehend my word.” 38“I am speaking the thing I have seen with my Father; you are doing the thing that you have seen with your father.”

39They answered and were saying to him, “Abraham is our father.” Yeshua said to them, “If you were children of Abraham, you would have been doing the works of Abraham.” 40“But now, behold, you are seeking to kill me; I am a man who have spoken the truth with you, which I have heard from God; this Abraham did not do.” 41“But you are doing the deeds of your father.” They were saying to him, “We are not from fornication; we have one father, God.”

42Yeshua said unto them, “If God were your father, you would have loved me, for I have proceeded from God and have not come of my own pleasure, but he has sent Me.” 43“And why do you not understand my word? It is because you cannot hear my word.” 44“You are from your father The Devil, and the desire of your father you are willing to do; from the beginning he has been murdering men and does not stand in the truth because there is no truth in him; whenever he speaks a lie, he speaks from what is his, because he is of falsehood and is also its father.” 45“But you are not believing in me, I who am speaking the truth.” 46“Who among you is convicting me of sin? And if I speak the truth, why do you not believe me?” 47“Whoever is from God hears God’s words; therefore you are not hearing, because you are not from God.”

48The Jews answered and they were saying to him, “Are we not saying correctly that you are a Samaritan and have a demon in you?” 49Yeshua said to them, “A demon is not in me, but I honor my Father and you dishonor Me.” 50“But I am not seeking my glory ; There is One who seeks and judges.” 51“Timeless truth I speak to you: whoever keeps my word shall never see death.” 52The Jews were saying to him, “Now we know that a demon is in you; Abraham is dead and The Prophets, and you are saying, ‘Whoever keeps my words shall never taste death.’ ” 53“Are you greater than our father Abraham who died and The Prophets who have died? Who are you making yourself?” 54Yeshua said to them, “If I glorify Myself, My glory is nothing; it is my Father who glorifies me, he of whom you say, ‘He is our God.’ ” 55“And you do not know him, but I know him, and if I had said that I did not know him, I Myself would have been a liar like you, but I do know him and I keep his word.”56“Abraham your father desired to see my day, and he saw it and rejoiced.” 57The Jews were saying to him, “You are not yet fifty years old, and you have seen Abraham?” 58Yeshua said to them: “Timeless truth I speak to you: Before Abraham would exist, I AM THE LIVING GOD.” 59And they picked up stones to stone him, and Yeshua hid himself and went out from The Temple and passed through their midst and moved on.

Rev 15: Aramaic in Plain English

1And I saw another great and wonderful sign in Heaven: Angels which had the seven last plagues with them, for in them the anger of God is finished.*

2And I saw as a sea of glass mingled with fire, and those who were victorious over The Beast and over its Image and over the number of its name, and they stood over the sea of glass and had with them the stringed instruments of God.*

3And they sang the song of Moses the Servant of God and the song of The Lamb. They were saying: “Great and marvelous are your works, LORD JEHOVAH God Almighty. Just and true are your works, King of the universe.”

4“Who will not reverence you, LORD JEHOVAH, and glorify your name? For you alone are holy. Therefore, all the nations will come and will worship before you, because you are true.”

5But after these things, I looked, and the Temple of the Tabernacle of the Testimony was opened in Heaven. 6And the seven Angels went out from the Temple, who had with them the seven plagues, while wearing pure and bright linen* and bound around their chests with a golden wrap. 7And one of The Four Beasts gave to the seven Angels seven vessels full of the passion of God, who is The Life for the eternity of eternities. Amen. 8And The Temple was full of the smoke of the glory of God and of his power, and no one was able to enter the Temple until the seven plagues of the seven Angels would be finished.

John 12:

1But Yeshua came to Bethany before the six days of the Passover, where Lazar was, whom Yeshua had raised from the grave. 2And they made a supper for him there and Martha was serving and Lazar was one of the guests with him. 3But Maryam took an alabaster vase of ointment of the best Indian spikenard, very expensive, and she anointed the feet of Yeshua and wiped his feet with her hair and the house was filled with the fragrance of the ointment. 4And Yehuda Scariota, one of the disciples, who was about to betray him, said: 5“Why was not this oil sold for three hundred denarii and given to the poor?” 6He said this, not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief and he had the money box and anything which fell into it he carried. 7But Yeshua said, “Let her alone, for she has kept it for the day of my burial.” 8“For you have the poor with you always, but you do not have me with you always.”

9And great crowds of the Judeans heard that Yeshua was there and they came, not because of Yeshua only, but also that they might see Lazar, him whom he had raised from the grave. 10And the Chief Priests had deliberated that they would also kill Lazar, 11Because many of the Judeans were leaving because of him and believing in Yeshua.

12And the next day a great crowd which had come to the feast, when they heard that Yeshua had come to Jerusalem,13Took branches of palm trees and went out to meet him, and they were shouting and saying, “Hosanna! Blessed is he that comes in the name of THE LORD JEHOVAH, The King of Israel!” 14But Yeshua found a donkey and sat down upon it just as it is written: 15“Fear not, daughter of Zion, behold your King comes to you and rides on a foal, a colt of a donkey.” 16But his disciples did not understand these things at that time, but when Yeshua was glorified, his disciples were reminded that these things were written about him and that they had done these things to him. 17And the crowd testified that they were with him when he called Lazar from the tomb and raised him from the dead. 18And because of this, great crowds went in front of him who heard that he had done this miracle.19And the Pharisees were saying to one another, “Do you see that you are not gaining anything? Behold, the whole world is going after him.”

20But there were also some of them from among the Gentiles who came up to worship at the feast. 21These came and approached Philippus, who was from Bethsaida of Galilee, and they asked him and were saying to him, “My lord, we wish to see Yeshua.” 22And Philippus himself came and told Andrewas, and Andrewas and Philippus told Yeshua. 23But Yeshua answered and said to them, “The hour has come for The Son of Man to be glorified.” 24“Timeless truth I speak to you: Unless a grain of wheat falls and dies in the ground, it remains alone, but if it dies, it yields much fruit.” 25“Whoever loves his life shall destroy it and whoever hates his life in this world shall keep it for eternal life.” 26“If a man serves me, he shall come after me, and where I am there shall also my servant be. Whoever ministers to me, The Father shall honor.”

27“Behold, now my soul is troubled, and what shall I say: My Father, deliver me from this hour? But for this I have come to this hour.” 28“Father, glorify your name.” And a voice was heard from Heaven: “I have glorified and I am glorifying it again.”29And the crowd that was standing there heard, and they were saying, “It was thunder”, and others were saying “An Angel spoke with him.” 30Yeshua answered and said to them, “This voice was not for my benefit, but for your benefit.” 31Now is the judgment of this world; now The Ruler of this world is hurled outside.” 32“And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw everyone to myself.” 33He said this that he might show by what death he would die. 34The crowds were saying to him, “We have heard from The Law that The Messiah abides forever. How do you say that The Son of Man is going to be lifted up? Who is this Son of Man?” 35Yeshua said to them, “The Light is with you a little time longer. Walk while The Light is with you, lest the darkness overtakes you. Whoever walks in darkness does not know where he is going.” 36“While The Light is with you, believe in The Light, that you might be the children of The Light.” These things spoke Yeshua and departing, he hid himself from them.

37And whereas he did all these miracles before them, they did not trust in him,38That the word of Isaiah the Prophet might be fulfilled, which says, “My Lord, who is believing our report and to whom is the arm of THE LORD JEHOVAH revealed?” 39Therefore they were not able to believe, because again Isaiah had said: 40“They have put out their eyes and darkened their hearts lest they shall see with their eyes and understand in their hearts and should be converted and I would heal them.” 41Isaiah said these things when he saw his glory and spoke about him.

42Many also among the Leaders believed in him, but they were not confessing him because of the Pharisees, lest they would end up outside of the synagogue. 43For they loved the praise of men more than the praise of God.

44But Yeshua cried and said, “Whoever trusts in me, trusts not in me, but in him who sent me.” 45“And whoever sees me sees him who has sent me.” 46“I, The Light, have come to the world, that no one who believes in me shall abide in darkness.47“And whoever hears my words and does not keep them, I am not judging him, for I have come, not to judge the world, but to give life to the world.”48“Whoever rejects me and does not receive my words has one that judges him: the word that I have spoken, that shall judge him in the last day.” 49“For I have not spoken from myself, but The Father who sent me, he gave me commandments, what I will say and what I will utter.” 50“I know that his commandments are eternal life, therefore, these things which I am speaking, just as The Father tells me, thus I speak.”

1And I saw another Angel* who descended from Heaven and he wore a cloud and a rainbow of the sky on his head and his appearance was like the Sun, and his legs like pillars of fire.2And he had a small scroll opened in his hand and he placed his right foot on the Sea, but the left on The Earth; 3And he shouted with a loud voice like a roaring lion, and when he shouted, seven thunders spoke with their voices. 4And when the seven thunders spoke, I was ready to write, and I heard a voice from The Seventh* Heaven, which said, “Seal that which the seven thunders spoke and do not write it.” 5And the Angel whom I saw was standing on The Sea and upon the dry land, raising his hand to Heaven. 6And he swore by him who lives to the eternity of eternities, him who created Heaven and that which is in it, and The Earth, and that which is in it: “Time shall be no more.” 7“But in the days of the seventh Angel, when he shall sound, the mystery of God is completed, which he evangelized to his Servants The Prophets.”

8And I heard a voice from Heaven again speaking with me and it said, “Go take the little scroll that is in the hand of the Angel who stands on the land and upon the Sea.” 9And I went to the Angel and I told him to give me the little scroll and he said to me, “Take and eat it and your belly will be bitter to you, but it will be like honey in your mouth.” 10And I took the little scroll from the hand of the Angel and I ate it and it was like sweet honey in my mouth and when I had eaten it, my belly was bitter. 11And he said to me, “A time is given to you again to prophesy unto the nations and peoples and languages and many Kings”.

John 10:

1After these things there was a feast of the Judeans, and Yeshua went up to Jerusalem.

2But there was a certain baptismal place in Jerusalem called in Aramaic, Bayth Khesda*, and there were in it five porches. 3And in these many people were lying who were ill, blind, crippled, cancerous, and they were awaiting the moving of the water; 4For an Angel descended from time to time to the baptismal and moved the water for them; whoever first descended after the moving of the water was cured of all sickness whatever he had. 5But a certain man was there who had been diseased for thirty eight years. 6Yeshua saw this man lying, and he knew that he had been so for a long time, and he said to him: “Do you want to be cured?” 7The sick man answered and said : “Oh, my lord, there is no one to put me in the baptismal when the waters are moved, but while I am coming, another goes down before me.” 8Yeshua said to him: “Get up! Pick up your bed and walk.” 9And immediately that man was healed, and he stood up, took his bed, and he walked, and it was the Sabbath day.10And the Jews were saying to him who was healed: “It is the Sabbath. You are not permitted to carry your bed.” 11But he answered and said to them: “He who made me well, he said to me, ‘Take up your bed and walk.’ ” 12And they asked him: “Who is this man who said to you, ‘Take up your bed and walk?'” 13But he that had been healed did not know who Yeshua was, for he had withdrawn himself in the great crowd that was in that place. 14After a time Yeshua found him in The Temple and said to him: “Behold, you are well again; do not sin, lest something worse than before should happen to you.” 15And that man departed and said to the Jews that Yeshua was the one who had healed him.

16And because of this, the Jews were persecuting Yeshua and were seeking to kill him, because he did these things on the Sabbath. 17But Yeshua himself said to them: “My Father is working until this hour, and I am also working.”*

18And because of this, the Jews were especially seeking to kill him, not only because he broke the Sabbath, but also because he said that God was his Father, and was making himself equal with God.

19But Yeshua answered and said to them: “Timeless truth I tell you: The Son cannot do anything of his own will, but the thing that he sees The Father is doing; for those things that The Father does, these also The Son does like him. 20For The Father loves his Son and he shows him everything he does; greater deeds than these He will show him, that you may be astonished. 21For just as The Father raises the dead and gives them life, thus also The Son gives life to them whom he will. 22For it is not The Father who judges a man, but he has given all judgment to The Son 23That everyone should honor The Son as one honors The Father. He who does not honor The Son is not honoring The Father who sent him.

24Timeless truth I speak to you: “Whoever hears my word and trusts in him who has sent me has the eternal Life, and he comes not into judgment, but he moves from death into Life.

25Timeless truth I speak to you: The hour is coming, it is even now, when the dead shall hear the voice of The Son of God, and they who hear shall live. 26For just as The Father has The Life in himself, so he has given also to The Son to have The Life in himself. 27And he has given him authority to also do judgment because he is The Son of Man. 28Do not be astonished at this, for the hour is coming when all who are in the graves shall hear his voice,29And they shall come out: those who have done good things, to the resurrection of life, and those who have done evil deeds, to the resurrection of judgment.

30I cannot do anything of my own will, but according to that which I have heard, I judge, and my judgment is just, for I am not seeking my will, but the will of him who has sent Me.

31And if I testify about myself, my testimony is not true. 32There is another who testifies about me, and I know that his testimony, which he testifies of me, is true.

33You sent to Yohannan and he testified concerning the truth. 34But I was not receiving the testimony of a man, but I say these things that you may live. 35He was a blazing and shining lamp, and you were willing to boast about the time in his light.

36But my testimony which is borne to me is greater than Yohannan’s, for the works that my Father gave me to finish, those works which I have done testify for me that The Father has sent Me.

37And The Father who has sent me, he testifies of me. You have never heard his voice and you have not seen his appearance, 38And his word is not abiding in you, because you are not trusting in him whom he has sent.

39Search the scriptures, for in them you hope that you have eternal life, and they testify concerning Me, 40And you are not willing to come to me that eternal life may be yours. 41I do not receive glory from the children of men. 42But I know you, that the love of God is not in you. 43I have come in The Name of my Father and you do not receive me, and if another shall come in his own name, you will receive him. 44How can you believe, who are accepting glory one from another, and you are not seeking the glory of The One God? 45Do you think that I am accusing you before The Father? There is one who accuses you: Moses, the one in whom you hope. 46For if you had trusted Moses, you would also trust me, for he wrote about Me. 47And if you do not believe his writings, how will you believe my words?”

Rev 14, Aramaic In Plain English

1And I saw and behold, The Lamb standing on the Mount Zion, and with him one hundred and forty four thousand who have his name upon them and the name of his Father written on their foreheads.2And I heard a sound from Heaven as the sound of many waters and as the sound of a great thunder; the sound which I heard was like a harpist* playing on his harp. 3And they were singing as a new hymn of praise before the throne and before The Four Beasts and before the Elders, and no one was able to learn the hymn but the one hundred and forty four thousand redeemed from The Earth.4These are those who have not been defiled with women, for they are virgins who cleave to the Lamb wherever he goes. These were redeemed from men, the firstfruits to God and to the Lamb.5And there is no falsehood found in their mouths as they are without fault.

6And I saw another Angel flying in the midst of Heaven and he had with him The Eternal Good News to preach unto the dwellers of Earth and unto all people, nations, generations and languages,7Saying with a great voice, “Stand in awe of God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made the Heavens and The Earth and the Sea and the springs of water.”

8And another, the second one, followed him and said, “Fallen, fallen, Babylon the Great, who gave all nations to drink of the passion* of her fornication!”

9Another, the third Angel, followed them saying with a great voice, “Whoever worshiped The Beast and its Image and received its mark on his forehead 10Shall also drink from the wine of the passion of THE LORD JEHOVAH, which is mixed* without dilution* in the cup of his rage, and he will be tormented by fire and brimstone before the holy Angels and before the Lamb.” 11“And the smoke of their torment ascends for the eternity of eternities, and there is no rest, day or night, for those who worship The Beast and its Image and for him who takes the mark of its name.”* 12“Here is the patience of The Holy Ones, those who keep the commands of God and the faith of Yeshua.”

13And I heard a voice from Heaven that said, “Write, Blessed are the dead, from now on, who have departed in Our Lord; Yes, says The Spirit, because they shall rest from their labors.”

14And behold, a white cloud, and upon the cloud sat the likeness of a man, and he had on his head a crown of gold, and in his hand a sharp sickle. 15And another Angel went out from the Temple and shouted with a great voice to him sitting on the cloud, “Send your sickle and reap, because the hour to reap has come.”16And he who sat on the cloud thrust his sickle unto The Earth and The Earth was reaped.

17Another Angel went out from The Temple which is in Heaven, and there was with him a sharp sickle. 18Another Angel went out from the altar, who had authority over fire, and he shouted with a great voice to him who had the sharp sickle with him: “Send your sharp sickle and gather of the clusters of the vineyards of The Earth, because its grapes are large.” 19And the Angel thrust his sickle unto The Earth and gathered the vines of The Earth and cast them into the great winepress of the passion of God. 20And the winepress was trodden outside the city and blood came out of the winepress unto the bridle of the horses for twelve hundred * stadia.

John 4:31-54

31And in the midst of these things his disciples were begging him and were saying to him, “Our Master, eat.” 32But he said to them, “I have food to eat of which you do not know.” 33The disciples were saying among themselves, “Did someone bring him something to eat?” 34Yeshua said to them, “My personal food is that I do the will of him who has sent me and finish His work. 35Do you not say, ‘After four months the harvest comes?’ Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and behold the fields that are white and are ready to harvest even now. 36And whoever reaps receives wages and he gathers fruit for life eternal and the sower and reaper shall rejoice together. 37For in this is a word of truth, that ‘One sows and another reaps.’ 38I sent you to harvest something in which you were not laboring, for another labored and you have entered upon their labors.”

39Many Samaritans from that city believed in him because of the woman’s saying which she testified: “He told me everything that I have done.” 40And when those Samaritans came to him, they requested of him that he would stay with them, and he was with them for two days.41And many believed in him because of his word. 42And they were saying to that woman, “Now it is not because of your word that we believe in him, for we have heard and we know that This One is truly The Messiah*, The Lifegiver of the world.”

43And after two days, Yeshua went out from there and left for Galilee. 44For Yeshua had been testifying that a Prophet is not honored in his city. 45But when he came to Galilee, the Galileans received him because they saw all the miracles that he did in Jerusalem at the feast, for they had also gone to the feast.

46But Yeshua came again to Qatna of Galilee, where he had made the water wine, and a servant of a certain King was staying in Kapernahum, whose son was ill. 47This man had heard that Yeshua came from Judea to Galilee and he went to him and was imploring him to come down and heal his son, for he was coming close to dying. 48Yeshua said to him, “If you will not see signs and wonders, you will not believe.” 49That servant of The King said to him, “My lord, come down or else the boy will die.”50Yeshua said to him, “Go; your son is saved.” And that man believed in the word that Yeshua spoke to him, and he went on. 51But when he was going down, his servants met him and they announced good news to him and were saying to him, “Your son is saved.” 52And he asked them at what time he was cured; they were saying to him, “Yesterday, in the seventh hour, the fever left him.” 53And his father knew that in that same hour Yeshua said to him, “Your son is saved.” And he believed and his whole household. 54This is again the second miracle Yeshua did, when he came from Judea to Galilee.
